The Wipe Out Waste Commercial Ambassador Program operates through Mecklenburg County Solid Waste and has over 200- member organizations, ranging from small non-profits to large corporations.

To provide Mecklenburg County businesses / organizations with ongoing mentorship, education and networking opportunities centered around waste reduction and recycling practices.
To recognize and reward Mecklenburg County businesses / organizations that reduce, reuse and recycle workplace waste and that purchased recycled products.
To become the focal point for waste reduction and recycling education within Mecklenburg County’s business community.
To foster a renewed commitment within Mecklenburg County’s commercial sector to recycle and reduce waste.
To empower organizations to become ambassadors in the commercial sector – encouraging waste reduction and recycling best practices amongst their peers.
Requirements to Become a Wipe Out Waste Commercial Ambassador:

Commit to promoting recycling right in the community, organizations, businesses, clubs, faith-based and areas within Mecklenburg County
